What is this event?

• The BME Career Fair at Michigan Tech is a virtual career event. The recruiting companies may host info sessions lasting 30 minutes to an hour. 

• Applicants will sign up for the infosession and upload their resume before the event. 

• Recruiters will have the opportunity to review the resume and screen candidates for interviews prior to the infosession. 

Who is in charge of scheduling interviews?

• You are! The recruiting company is in charge. 

• You can review resumes, screen candidates, and identify suitable candidates. 

• Inform the organizing committee of your interest in recruiting and we will create a portal for the event. 

How can I gain access to the resumes?

• The recruiting companies will offer info sessions lasting 30 minutes to an hour. 

• The recruiting company will submit a form with details about the position, preferred and necessary qualifications and other relevant details.

• Applicants will sign up for the infosession and upload their resumes before the event. 

• Recruiters will be given access to the resumes and will have the opportunity to review the resume and screen candidates for interviews.

How long is the event?

• The Career fair is on September 19th and 20th. 

• Additional dates for the virtual event are October 19th and 20th.

• Infosessions will be for 30 minutes to an hour. 

• You decide the date and time according to your availability. If you would like to choose a different date, please provide details using this form.

How much will it cost the company to attend the virtual career fair?

• Nothing. 

• This is a free to participate event being organized by the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Michigan Technological University.

What will the company need to do?

• The company will need to complete the company information form, identify recruiter(s), select a date and time, offer infosession(s). 

• Following the infosession or prior to the infosession, the recruiters select candidates and set-up interviews directly with the candidates. 

• The recruiters pick the date, time and format of the interviews.

What is the format of the interview?

• The Career Fair is virtual. 

•  The format of the interview is up to you, the recruiter.
